About Us

TechPeza helps Africans make smarter decisions about technology, business and money, starting with Nigeria, where we’re based.

We started as a technology publication, and technology is still at our core. But tech and money are now impossible to separate across Africa: how you pay, save, run a business, get paid from abroad and protect yourself from fraud all happen through technology. So that’s what we cover.

What We Cover

  • Electric vehicles and CNG: cars, kekes, bikes, charging, conversions and the real cost of switching
  • Home power: power stations, inverters, solar and batteries for life with an unreliable grid
  • AI tools: which tools are worth using, and how to access and pay for them from Africa
  • Smartphones: buying guides and comparisons for every budget, with local prices
  • Business: startups and funding, fintech and banking, telecoms, and running a small business with digital tools
  • Money: banking and payment apps, savings and investment apps, tax and regulation, crypto rules, and how to stay safe from scams

How We Work

  • Local first. Every guide is written for African realities like fuel prices, power cuts, exchange rates, regulations and tight budgets. Most of our coverage is Nigeria-specific today, and we’re adding other African markets where it helps readers.
  • We check our facts. We use primary sources wherever possible, including official stores, company announcements and regulators such as the CBN, SEC, NCC and FCCPC, and we link to them.
  • Prices are dated. Our price guides show when they were checked, and we refresh them regularly.
  • We say what we haven’t tested. If a guide is based on specs and prices rather than hands-on testing, we say so.
  • No financial tips. Our Business and Money coverage explains news, products and rules. We don’t tell readers which stocks or assets to buy or sell. We use AI tools to help with research and drafting. Every article is fact-checked and edited before publication.

Why the AI-use line is recommended

Google’s guidance says it’s fine to use AI to help create content, as long as the content is genuinely helpful and accurate. It also suggests being transparent about how content is made where readers would reasonably want to know. A short, honest statement about AI-assisted drafting and human fact-checking builds trust. Only include it if it accurately describes your process.
